Welcome to the Edinburgh University Catholic Students’ Union!
At the CSU we aim to offer everyone, Catholic or otherwise, the opportunity and space to socialise in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Open to all, our common room at 23 George Square is our home away from home, and we try to make sure that absolutely everybody can be part of the warm, Christian community that we enjoy, where students can meet, work and celebrate together.
We have weekly meals, student Masses and socials as well as one off events such as cheese and wine nights and our an annual talent auction. We welcome anybody who wants to get involved and be a part of our warm community. If you have never been involved in a faith-based group before, don’t worry as our members are made up of people from all walks of life, from all experiences, and we all walk together in a journey of fellowship continually learning throughout our time at university here in Edinburgh.
With the help of our fantastic chaplains and from other fellow students, the CSU provides support to anybody who needs it at any time of the day. So, please feel free to pop by the common room sometime, say hello, and hopefully make some friends for life!
“Wherever the Catholic sun doth shine,
There’s always laughter and dancing and good red wine.
At least I’ve always found it so,
– Hilaire Belloc
With more than 160 members and daily events during term time, we are one of the largest and most active student societies on campus.
Whether you’re a visiting student coming to Edinburgh or just haven’t made it to the Chaplaincy yet this year, you’re always very welcome to join at any point! Lots of exciting events are happening throughout the term. To find out more, check out the What’s On page.
